"My experience throughout Paris has been enlightening and amazing. There is so much beauty and history to see; and seeing it once is not enough. Paris has a way of getting to your heart. As I fell in love with the city I realized that I would hold onto the memories the rest of my life. I hope it does the same for you if you shall ever decide to visit the "City of Love."

"There is something special about the chaos of life in a foreign city. The attractions don't have the same novelty to locals because they see it everyday, but to you it's something truly special. It makes you think about the mundane things you see everyday that you should take a second look and truly appreciate them."

Alejandra is a Panamanian-native studying illustration at Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. Her recent thesis titled "Futures Past" humorously imagines what life might have looked like had past predictions of the future actually come true.

According to Alejandra, "Illustration isn't just about making pretty pictures; my major has also taught me good design practices and how to communicate complex ideas through images. I see my talented illustration peers making everything from zines to video games and large paintings, and I'm into great things as well!"

India's U23 National Frisbee Team

#ultimateforlife

Earlier this year, India’s first National Ultimate team with no bias towards caste, wealth, background, religion, gender or language was formed. Selectors chose a team based on spirit and skill alone. As a result, the team speaks three different languages and comes from many different sets of circumstance.

It’s not their level of education, their English skills, their parent’s jobs, nor where they live, that these young people define themselves by. It’s Ultimate. It’s through Ultimate that many of these players were able to to travel outside of their home city. Tournaments in Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Delhi, Chennai, Auroville- all financed by professionals in Club Teams, make them a part of a much larger community than they had previously known. Traveling to play against people from all over India - adults, other kids, expats, college students, professionals and corporations alike - make them more respected back in their communities.

“Being a part of the Indian team gives me a sense of honor and pride. Never would I have been able to imagine that at the age of 15, I would be able to represent my country, playing the game that defines me,” Bhavya Trivedi, 15.

These players are training hard and preparing to bring the Spirit of the Game across the world. The Ultimate community, is uniting to support their journey by raising funds and spreading awareness about a sport that transforms lives, communities and this team of 20 youth. Say Namaste to the #under23 challenge started by the Indian Under-23 Ultimate Frisbee Team!

The challenge is simple:
1) Take a video showing us what YOU can do in Under 23 seconds! It can be anything - eating 10 bananas, doing 20 pull-ups, painting a picture, climbing a coconut tree…whatever you want to do, as long as you can do it in #under23!

#unbelievablemagic

"Parenting is the hardest and best thing I've ever asked myself to do. Creating a life is a certain kind of unbelievable magic. And parenting asks me not just to work, but also to do my own personal, internal work. Raising a passionate, strong, self-aware kid is my most fervent goal. It's painful to watch her struggle, but it's incredible watching her dust herself off for another go and know that she values herself enough not to give up." - Rebekah

Amazing Parenting Moment: "Placing our daughter on my wife’s chest, followed a year and a half later by said baby saying “I can do it by myself”. My favorite moments are the ones when we sit together in bed and talk about life, a 2.5 year old will surprise you with their wisdom." - Michelle

#littlestthings

Capturing our life, our moments, our adventures on my camera also comes with the territory. The littlest things are always important when you're a parent. For me, it's all about the moments that people generally tend to overlook.  Moments that your memory fades through time. Moments that seem just like ordinary life.

The littlest things - they're the moments that I want to be reminded of when time passes and my children grow. That connection, that feeling, that memory.. I crave those. I'm obsessed with those.

Life and time waits for no one. Every free second is spent with my loves. Whether it's going on our little family adventures, taking sunset drives, relaxing at the beach, or just sitting at home watching a movie; I prefer to spend it with them.

There's nothing more extraordinary, rewarding, exciting, and emotional than being a mother. Being able to assist God in bringing a miracle into this world is such a great honor. They are the best parts of me. My blessings, my love, and my soul, rolled into 2 little humans...My sons.

Every moment, every challenge, and every feeling that comes with the title of "MOM", is what I love most about being a mother.

I love that social media gives us a forum for me to share some of our family's daily struggles, joys and anecdotes. It proves that Alex's world, or at least the part of the world that is represented by people who follow me on social media is aware, understands and accepts Alex for who he is.  This gives me hope for the future.

My boys are 16 and 12.  They are my heart and inspire me every day. My oldest has the purest heart and the strongest will.  Nothing could have prepared me for having a child with autism. He's taught me so much!  How to love him, accept him and be there for him, just as he is there for me, for his siblings and so many others.  He is beautiful and I'm so lucky he is mine.

Happy Everything

Here at #Cube HQ, we've had quite the year. We've fulfilled over half of our Kickstarter Instacube backers, launched our new website, renamed our flagship product #Cube, were featured on the TODAY show, and we've had our first holiday season on our own website, Amazon, eBay, and with our wholesale partners.

As a scrappy startup with a small team split between Silicon Valley and Hong Kong, we've worn many hats year round getting our company and product off the ground. Together we've spent countless hours in the office, at the factory, and of course glued to our laptops making things happen. Often times that glue is literal, straight from the packing tape. The #Cube team, our customers and partners have become like family to us. And for the first time in a long time, we are going to take the rest of the day off to be with our personal families as well.

Whatever is beautiful,
Whatever is meaningful,
Whatever brings happiness...
May it be yours this holiday season and throughout the coming year.

Much love to you and yours from the #Cube team
